We had a great time celebrating Local Food Week with nearly 400 Grade 5 students last week at the Fergus Fall Fair’s Agriculture Education Day!  Emily and I hosted the Fruit and Veggies station where we used a Family Feud style game to teach the students about Ontario grown produce and the importance of eating local.  We were one of 28 stations ranging from livestock to crops, soil, farm equipment, and careers in agriculture.  It was a great day for the students to meet farmers and learn about where their food comes from – we were honoured to be part of this terrific group of passionate volunteers!
