We are proud to provide deli meats from Uniqpol in Brantford, a proudly Canadian company who sources their meat locally.
In 1994 Richard Kowal realizes that Canada hasn’t tried truly delicious European-style white meats. With another Polish friend they try and test recipes at home. In 1996 he creates a list of ten chicken deli products and convinces his wife Jeanette, who is finishing up at McMaster University, to create a unique deli and meat business to produce “the most flavourful chicken products imaginable”.
Since then, they have expanded their product line to include turkey, pork, sausages, pate, and bacon. They combine traditional European smoking, roasting, and aging techniques with a modern understanding of healthy eating. This blend of heritage and innovation has earned them accolades, including a platinum award at the Ontario Finest Meat Competition.
Uniqpol’s four core values are healthy lifestyle, growth, friends and family, and sharing a meal. Their products are made with locally sourced meats, free from hormones and antibiotics. They are available in gluten-free and nitrate-free options, lower in sodium, with no added sugars or MSG.
Ask about Uniqpol at our deli counter. Most popular so far is their “Grandpa ham” which is a Polish cured deli ham, known for being drier and smokier than German Black Forest Ham.
Jessica from Uniqpol will be at our 17th Birthday Party this Saturday, May 31 from 11-2 to present and sample their great products – join us!
